Or so it seems:
"People in the Republic feel better off than those in Northern Ireland and live longer, a new study says.
A paper being presented to a health conference on Friday examines health and lifestyle surveys in the two areas.
It said that 90% in the Republic rated their quality of life as 'very good' or 'good', compared with 86% in NI. "
People in the south are richer, happier, healthier – what possible reasons can unionists think up to justify their obsession with Britain?
Why did The ROI go independent when it would ultimately have been better of as part of The UK (at least until the early nineties)?
ReplyDeleteWe will never forsake the blue skies of the Irish Republic for the grey skies of Ulster, as Carson didn't say.
ReplyDeleteBecause of the way the British created the Irish, and continue to treat the Irish in the occupied 6 Counties...
ReplyDeletePrevious comment should be "treated" and NOT "created"
ReplyDeletelol...
Can you identify any legal clauses in national or international law that states Northern Ireland is illegally 'occupied'?

UNDP confirms again that Ireland stays at or near the top of the world's league table for human development while the UK is far behind.
Interesting to see how important N.Ireland is in this discussion of the UK's future as a polity
