Packing his bags

Jim Allister had an active presence on the internet during his five years as an MEP through http://www.jimallister.org/. Articles and speeches, alternately attacking Sinn Féin and his erstwhile colleagues in the DUP, were uploaded almost daily.

But not any longer. The site is bare:

It looks like a house that is vacant – the movers have been and taken away everything, the house is empty and uninhabited. Jim has packed up and moved out! He obviously has very little confidence in tomorrow's vote.

Nah, it's back again.

Looks like the scripts weren't talking to the underlying database for a while.

When is the Euro count?

Does it have to wait until all the polling station close in Europe?

Anonymous,

When is the Euro count?

The 'verification of votes' is tomorrow (Friday), but the actual count is on Monday.

Horseman are you posting today and will you be reporting from the count?

hoboroad,

I may post today or tomorrow, but not about the EP election, because until the votes are counted there isn't a lot more to say.

As for Monday - I'm not a party hack, or even a gentleman of leisure, so I'll be safely at work, same as usual! (But keeping a close eye on the media, of course)

Going by the vibes on UTV news last night, there is a great chance that sinn fein tops the poll and the SDLP reclaim their seat. The unionists are going to erupt.
